In this beginner-friendly class, you'll create a striking modern portrait featuring expressive colour, dramatic lighting, and loose, painterly techniques. You'll be guided step by step as you learn how to simplify facial features, blend skin tones, and use bold accents to create depth, emotion, and visual impact.
Participants will have the opportunity to paint using both brushes and palette knives, adding rich textures and expressive details while creating a unique contemporary portrait to take home.
All materials are provided, including canvas, paints, brushes, and aprons.
